Unfortunately there isn't children's books about diabetes in english in Helmet libraries (Helsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries): children's books about the subject are available only in finnish and swedish. The search on the database of The Finnish Institute for Children’s Literature didn't bring results either.
There seem to be a few books you are looking for in international online stores. There is also three free self made books about diabetes under the following site: http://grandmasandy.org/books-info.html

There is a small publication about the parks in Seinäjoki "Seinäjoen puistot ja viheralueet" published by the city of Seinäjoki in 2015. There is a short text concerning the Mannerheim Park and statue. You can see the opening hours of Helsinki City Library in the library's webpages, http://www.lib.hel.fi/en-GB/kirjastot/. You can study on fridays in Library 10 until 6 pm. Also the meetingplace at Lasipalatsi is open until 6 pm. You can also see the addresses of these places in the webpages. The National Library is open on fridays until 8 pm. It is also situated in the center of the city, Unioninkatu 36, http://www.lib.helsinki.fi/ . Maby one of these places would be suitable.
