Unfortunately you cannot get a Helmet library card by post. You have to visit a Helmet library to get a card. Here is an excerpt from the user regulations:
"You can get a personal library card, the right to borrow and a PIN code at any Helmet library or mobile library. You will get the library card when you state your address and present a valid ID card with a photograph and personal identity number accepted by the library. To be able to receive a library card you need an address in Finland. The first library card is free of charge. If you do not have a Finnish personal identity number, your library card is valid for twelve months at a time."

1. You can reserve material through the Helmet portal. Find the book that you want to reserve by entering the search term in Search for Items, then click Request it. You are asked to log in by entering your library number and your PIN code. Once you have done that, you can choose the library where you want to pick up your book. Finnish public libraries use genres when classifying adult fiction. Most used way is to separate few well known genres from the fiction stock. In Kallio branchlibrary we have separated crime (detective novels), horror, science fiction, fantasy, romance, war, humor and hunting (fishing & hunting)novels. Rest of the books are normally on the self, and e. g. translated literature and finnish literature are on the same shelf. Some libraries might use more genres e.g. Kuhmo library. It´s not common to classify the whole fiction stock.
Content description and subject indexing of novels helps in fiction retrieval.

There is in fact a possibility to play a instrument in library.
The music library has a playing room, that you can reserve for a hour at a time. In the room there's an acoustic and an electric piano. But you are free to bring your own instrument as well.
You can visit the music library at the 2nd floor of the old building at the main library, or call the music library's customer service number 02-262 0658 to make the reservation.
In Kamppi area the two nearest stops for the mobile libraries are Ruoholahti (Ruoholahdentori, Wednesday 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM) and Kruununhaka (Liisankatu 1, Tuesday 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM).
