Unfortunately there are no workstations with AutoCAD available in Helmet libraries. The new central library Oodi will provide some 3D modelling software when their makerspace facilities open, but apparently AutoCAD will no be included. However, Aalto Fablab, at Aalto University in Otaniemi, Espoo, provides CAD workstations with AutoDesk Fusion 360 and other software. Aalto Fablab is mostly used by Aalto University students and staff, but they have open access days every now and then. You can contact them by sending e-mail to fablab[at]aalto.fi
In an ideal world this would be a fine possibility, but in the real world it is just the publisher, who can decide to offer an e-book version to the general market or just the libraries. The copyright legislation does not allow the libraries to purchase rights to e-books as it allows buying and lending out the printed material.
In Finland the publishers do not necessarily want the lbrary system to provide free access to e-books, which can be sold directly to consumers. That is why the selection to libraries is not the same as to individual consumers.
In the end it is the question of money. The publishers sell e-book rights to libraries, if they are willing and able to pay high enough prices. The market of e-books in Finland has not grown…

Taskukirjasto (Pocket Library) is a mobile application for customers of the Helmet library. Taskukirjasto does not replace plastic library card but can be used alongside it. Taskukirjasto has your library card's bar code. Taskukirjasto application is free of charge and available for Android and iOS mobile devices. You can download Taskukirjasto from app stores.
This year Helmet libraries are renewing their online and mobile services. Taskukirjasto app can be used until a new system replaces it.

The answers are stored whether in public or non-public archive. Most of the answers are stored in the open archive. The non-public database is open only for librarians, they can visit it in the same web-adress and with same logins-passwords, where they do the answering. Nowadays about 40% of answers are stored in non-public archive. You put the answer to the non-public archive if you think that it is not useful for anybody else or the same question and answer to it is already in the public archive (for example how to get a PIN-code to your library card). Usually we also put answer to the non-public archive if we can’t help the questioner in any way (didn’t find the answer and not even couldn’t give any organisation or specialist to ask for…
I assume that your question concerns the Libraries.fi(Kirjastot.fi)-web site (http://www.kirjastot.fi , http://www.biblioteken.fi , http://www.libraries.fi ). This website was originally the website of Finnish Public Libraries. Presently there are also other Libraries in the service, that is why it now is the Website of Finnish Libraries. It was published for the first time june 1995.

To pay the fee online, go to helmet.fi. At the bottom of the page, you will find Pay online. Click it, then login with your library card number and PIN code. Select the outstanding payment on the list and click Proceed to payment.
Alternatively, you can pay the fee in your nearest Helmet library.
If you do not pick up the reserved book in time, the reservation is cancelled and the book is returned to its place. You can check the book's current status at helmet.fi and make a new reservation.

Books from the Helmet libraries can only be returned to one of their own libraries. If you have not saved an email address to your library card, you can only reset your pin number in-person at the service counter of any Helmet library. If creating a new pincode is not working for other reasons, get in contact with the Helmet libraries directly. This is done by going to their website - Libraries and services | Helmet - and selecting a library, which provides the phone number and e-mail contact details for particular libraries within the Helmet network. They can further assist you on creating a new pin code and may be able to renew your loans remotely, provided they do not have reservations.

The copyrigt legislation in Finland requires the library to pay for the possibility to lend out movies. This is why the Finnish libraries are not allowed to lend out donated movies.
Many libraries have a place for recycling books, records and movies. You can leave your Twin Peaks DVD's to your closest library, if they have this service available. If not, you can ask the nearest one.
