It looks like that your ancestors' homecounty is Pyhajarvi Vpl. (In Finnish Pyhajarvi is spelled with two a:s with dots, and Vpl is an abbreviation of Viipurin laani = Viipuri province). You can find a short description of the county, in Finnish though, in the following address

Only thing is that you need to come to any of Helmet libraries in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen or Vantaa with your ID with a picture and we will make you your library card. Unfortunately there isn't children's books about diabetes in english in Helmet libraries (Helsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries): children's books about the subject are available only in finnish and swedish. The search on the database of The Finnish Institute for Children’s Literature didn't bring results either.

During the self-service hours, there is no staff in the library but the premises are monitored using technology like cameras. In a self-service library, you can borrow and return materials, use customer computers, read magazines and newspapers, work or have meetings. A wireless network is available. The staff service hours and self-service hours are listed on each library’s website.
